Paradis d’Enfants was created in 1997 by the “Public School Friends” Association along with a group of partner volunteers. Due to the increasing demand on private schools, the deteriorating economic situation preventing such schools from adjusting tuition fees to the individual income, and the administrative problems faced by public schools following thirty years of war and shortage of social aid to impoverished families, an individual initiative with far-reaching influence was necessary to cater for one basic need: the right to education for every child of a needy family.
The primary school is a non-profit establishment; therefore, it is a partially free private institution which relies on community support.
